Both Latvia and Spain have already secured their right to play in the EuroBasket 2025 finals in Riga in September 2025, but the last games of the qualification tournament will not be a formality.
The Latvian national team has beaten the Spanish national team in two previous meetings - on 31 August 2023 at the World Cup in Jakarta and on 22 February 2024 in Zaragoza (79:75). The Latvians want to prove that this success was not a fluke, but the Spaniards want revenge!
The teams are tied in the FIBA European rankings (Spain - 4th, Latvia - 5th; World - 6th and 9th respectively), so the result of their games will be of particular importance when recalculating the ranking points.
Many players from both teams still need to strengthen their positions before the EuroBasket2025 Finals, so there will be no shortage of motivation.
