In the darkest time of the year, Riga Zoo is holding the annual Winter Nights giving you a chance to visit the area late at night, walk through the lit up paths, enjoy the decorations, warm up by the fire and view the animal enclosures in a merry Christmas atmosphere.
This year, everyone will be able to explore the animal kingdom on dark winter evenings, whether strolling along the snowy paths or warming up in the Tropical House, where eternal summer reigns. Leave the hustle and bustle of the city behind and let yourself be swept up in the snow!
During the winter nights, animal feeding demonstrations are also expected. A pair of giraffes will receive their dinner around 15:00, as will a family of owls. The alpacas will be fed with carrots at 18.15, and the reindeer family will receive their delicious and precious portion of lichen at 18.30.
Admission is until 20.00 each evening, indoor exhibitions until 20.30, and visitors can enjoy the night atmosphere until 21.00.
