Riga's birthday celebrations will take place throughout the Old Town, as well as on the 11th November Embankment and in some city parks, marking Riga's 824th year as a city!
Throughout the day, Riga's residents and visitors will be entertained by a variety of concert programs, children's events, street artists' performances, artisans' and craftsmen's markets and the Taste of Riga Festival.
In the city center, the Krastu Mačs (Shore Match) basketball tournament will take place all day long, with players of different skill levels from the right and left banks of the Daugava, DJs and musicians, competitions and entertainment for spectators.
