Juris Bergins is one of the most extravagant Latvian porcelain artists, whose works have been recognized both in Latvia and internationally. In his creative work, Juris Bergins combines classical porcelain traditions with contemporary artistic ideas and unique creative techniques, such as combining original, strong forms with realistic images, complementing them with socio-political and historical themes.
In the solo exhibition by Juris Bergins, visitors will have the opportunity to see examples of the artist's early creative work, which are now considered to be the ''golden work'' of Latvian applied art, and which reflect the artist's high quality craftsmanship and skill in working with traditional porcelain forms and ornaments. These works reflect the classical values of porcelain, highlighting its purity and elegance. The exhibition will also feature the artist's most recent original works, created in the last five years, in which he experiments with shapes, textures and colors, seeking new expressive possibilities and revealing the diversity of porcelain.
The exhibition will be located in the first floor windows of the museum and will be available to the public 24 hours a day.
