The exhibition presents the cultural heritage and development of sound recording and reproduction technologies throughout the 20th century.
The most important mediums of sound and sound players are highlighted as markers. The exhibition shows how listening to records has evolved from the privilege of the elite to a part of everyone's daily life, becoming a way of expressing one’s identity, reflecting cultural belonging and expressing resistance in times of political change.
