The Scottish post-rock greats Mogwai will take the audience on an atmospheric and hypnotic musical journey.
In musical terms, Mogwai's compositions are called post-rock - an atmospheric, guitar-driven sound substance that makes you forget about the concept of time and the physical space you are in, as it is filled with sounds so that there is no room for anything else. Mogwai's post-rock therefore does not need lyrics that would take the focus away from the instrumental sounds and leave the instrumental music as a mere accompaniment.
The band was formed in 1995 in Glasgow. Since its foundation it has been formed by Stuart Braithwaite, Barry Burns, Dominic Aitchison and Martin Bulloch.
The band's compositions have been used in several films, with the most recent collaboration being the music for the Apple TV+ series Black Bird, released as an album of unusually short compositions for this band in 2022.
