Jazz Music at Christmas

The festive atmosphere will be created by the "Rīga" Orchestra's big band under the direction of jazz musician Roberts Martin and the brilliant vocal duo – Paula Saija and Daumants Kalniņš.

A significant portion of the concert is dedicated to Latvian music, featuring original compositions by composer Madars Kalniņš, arrangements of popular Latvian songs, as well, excerpts from the legendary jazz composer Duke Ellington's 1960 jazz suite based on the musical themes of Pyotr Tchaikovsky's ballet "The Nutcracker."
