Music of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart is the one closest to Jörg Widmann's heart and soul - Mozart's masterpieces come alive in the enchanting tones of his clarinet, and are often revealed in emotional interpretations in his role as orchestra conductor.
In his new interpretation of the almost two-and-a-half centuries old Sinfonia Concertante, Widmann, as always striving for profound emotionality, has invited two accomplished musicians to join him on stage - the Berliner Philharmoniker's 1st Concertmaster, violinist Vineta Sareika and its 1st Principal violist Amihai Grosz.
