The Mixed Choir "Muklājs", The Mixed Choir of the Latvian Council of Sworn Advocates and organist Ilona Birģele invite you to an Easter concert, where you will hear pieces that take the listener on a meditative, emotional and spiritual journey.
The centrepiece of the programme is the Sunrise Mass for double choir and organ by the internationally renowned and popular Norwegian composer Ola Gjeilo in collaboration with organist Ilona Birgele.
The programme includes 21st century works ‘Virgencita’ and ‘Deer`s Cry’ by this year's jubilarian Arvo Pärt, as well as Latvian compositions ‘O Salutaris Hostia’ by Erik Eschenvald and ‘Moonlight Sound Design’ by Raimonds Tiguls.
