The festival "Kamēr...35" culminates with Joseph Haydn's oratorio The Creation. The monumental composition will be performed by the youth choir Kamēr..., the Liepāja Symphony Orchestra and soloists Jolanta Strikaite (soprano), Mārtiņš Zvīgulis (tenor) and Rihards Mačanovskis (bass).
The oratorio is based on the Old Testament text of Genesis, or the Book of Creation, fragments of the Psalms and the motifs of Paradise Lost by the 17th-century British writer John Milton. They tell the story of the creation of the world from the darkness of chaos to the unadulterated happiness of the first human couple in the Garden of Eden.
