For the first time in Riga, Justin Broadrick and B. C. Green, or the band Godflesh from Birmingham (UK), will perform a concert. The band is known as one of the founders of industrial metal music.
Like the title of the duo's 2017 album Post Self, the union of Broadrick and Green and the chemistry within it sometimes feels prophetic. In an age where robots that can do backflips are a thing of the past and the wars we're living through are likely to be started by AI, it's hard to imagine a more fitting companion to the inevitable end than the music of Godflesh, which has been with us since before all of this.
