In the hands of the Latvian Radio Choir and the Riga Saxophone Quartet – the pillars of the festival – every score acquires world-class excellence.
J. S. Bach's masterpiece "English Suite" has long been a well-known cornerstone of the saxophone repertoire, but at the "Saxophonia" festival it will reach unprecedented heights of harmony. Arturs Maskats' opus "Midnight in Riga" will also take on a new sonic dimension. But the biggest intrigue of the evening – the premiere of a new work by Jānis Lūsēns', where a delicate sound of saxophone will meet the mighty power of an organ.
