The exhibition of porcelain works features a selection of bone china works from the Kaunas Experimental Art Ceramics Factory Jiesia (Lithuania). The exhibition offers a unique opportunity to explore the history of Lithuanian porcelain production as well as contemporary interpretations and innovations in bone china art. The exhibition reveals the place of the Jiesia factory in the development of Baltic porcelain traditions and introduces it as one of the porcelain producers in the region.
The exhibition in Riga features a compact selection of Jiesia's factory production - a variety of bone china products spanning a wide period of time - from iconic early works to contemporary collections. Special attention will be paid to the technologically complex and artistically high quality works of the factory, as well as a brief insight into the works of students studying the industrial technology of bone china in Lithuania.
