This time the trio will surprise the audience with a repertoire unusual for the ensemble, focusing on classical, baroque, renaissance and even medieval music.
This program is a play with early times - a surprise collaboration between Arti-i-Shok and Guntars Prānis, professor or early music and hurdy-gurdy performer, on a version of Renaissance-era music by Diego Ortiz, a Gregorian chant theme and the French dance An-Dro. Alfred Schnittke also plays with baroque dance and fugue elements in his piece Suite in the Old Style. There will also be a Latvian opus: Georgs Pelēcis' Dandelion Field, classically simplified, as well as a new work by Rihards Zaļupe for trio Art-i-Shock played on hurdy gurdy.
