Valdis Bušs is one of Latvia's most prolific landscape artists. An artist who worked at his easel until the last day of his life, leaving a considerable legacy of several thousand paintings.
The works on display at the exhibition will span six creative decades of Valdis Bušs. Inspired by 20th century French modern painting, Valdis Bušs developed his own unique style. Characterized by bright, contrasting colors and vivid tonal combinations, strong, pasty brushstrokes and distinct textures, his works are expressive and dynamic.
To get to know more about the artist's work, the exhibition will take place in two parts, Part I from May 19 to August 17, and Part II from August 18, when new works will be added to the exhibition.
