To mark the centenary of the birth of the legendary American actor Marlon Brando, the Splendid Palace Cinema invites viewers to watch his most challenging films.
Marlon Brando's films were chosen in the hope that they would not only trigger a debate about how the norms of beauty, film aesthetics, acting in front of the camera and on set have changed, but also about human relationships on such a sensitive subject as sexuality.
Brando's career spanned over 60 years and included a total of 39 films. His acting was characterized by intuition and spontaneity. Brando was more than a sex symbol of the 20th century, he was a thinking actor who turned every role into a new discovery.
