Workcation Riga programme hosts German manufacturers

The Investment and Tourism Agency of Riga collaborated with the German-Baltic Chamber of Commerce to host a site visit for a German company considering moving its electronics production facility to Riga.

The guests particularly appreciated the city’s compact size, small distances between vital infrastructure and the proximity of Riga International Airport at just 20 minutes from the city centre – true time savers. They also spoke highly of the range of study programmes in Riga, especially in the fields of electronics, programming, and computing, which ensure a steady stream of highly qualified specialists on the local market.

During the visit in January, the guests visited potential facilities. They met with representatives of human resources and financial services companies and universities for a well-rounded overview of the local business environment.

The site visit took place within the innovative Workcation Riga programme, designed to introduce international investors to the city, its business environment, and opportunities for development. As part of the programme, groups of up to five company representatives may qualify for a personalised five-day stay in Riga.

If you know of any companies looking to expand their operations or move to a new market entirely, we encourage you to share the news. For more information about the Workcation Riga programme and to apply, visit:www.liveriga.com/en/invest/for-investors/incentives-for-investors/workcation-riga-2022
