When applying for the Riga Tourist Guide Certificate, the following rules apply to the processing of personal data:
1.The manager of the processing of your personal data is the Riga Municipality (Riga municipal agency - Riga Investment and Tourism Agency) (hereinafter - Agency), registered address: Rātslaukums 1, Riga, LV-1539.
2. The personal data protection specialist: the Data Protection and Information Technology and Security Center of the Central Administration of the Riga City Council. Address: Dzirciema iela 28, Riga, LV-1007; e-mail address: dac@riga.lv.
3. The personal data provided in your application documents will be processed in order to make a decision and ensure the issue of the Tourist Guide Certificate.
4. The legal basis for the processing of personal data is Regulation (EU) No 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of April 27, 2016 on the protection of physical persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (Article 6(1)(c) of the General Data Protection Regulation) - in order to fulfil a legal obligation to which the manager is subject; Riga City Council Binding Regulation No. 91 of December 13, 2013 "On the Provision of Tourist Guide Services in the City of Riga", point 9; as well as your consent to the processing of your personal data for the purpose of publishing them on the public portal.
5. Potential recipients of personal data:
5.1. Members of the commission for the certification of tourist guides and employees of the Agency who are involved in the process of issuing specific certificates.
5.2. The Executive Director of the City of Riga, in case of a challenge to the decision of the commission and the initial administrative act issued. As well as managers of personal data in accordance with the services they provide and only to the extent necessary.
5.3 If you wish your contact details to be posted and made publicly available on the public portal www.LiveRiga.com in the section List of Certified Riga Tour Guides, thereby promoting the services you offer, your written consent is required. Your contact details will be posted and made publicly available to the extent that you have indicated in the "application for the issuing of Riga tour guide certificates".
6. Personal data processed by the Agency are not transferred separately to third countries (outside the EU/EEA) or international organizations.
7. Personal data will be stored: in paper format in the Tourist Information Center at Rātslaukums 6 in accordance with the rules for storing sensitive data; and electronically in the CRM database. Access to the documents is granted to the staff members who act as secretariat of the commission for the certification of tourist guides. The documents received and the decisions taken will be kept for 10 years; the data in the certificate register will be kept permanently, as the Riga Tourist Guide Certificate is open-ended.
8. You have the right to request the manager to access your personal data processed as a data subject, to request correction or deletion of inaccurate personal data, to submit a justification for this request, to request restriction of processing of your personal data or object to processing in accordance with the law, as well as to submit a complaint about unlawful processing of your personal data to the Data State Inspectorate (contact information - Elijas iela 17, Riga; tel. 67223131, e-mail address: pasts@dvi.gov.lv).
9. The data subject is obliged to provide personal data in order to obtain a Riga Tourist Guide Certificate, otherwise the application will not be accepted and considered, in accordance with Paragraph 9 of Riga City Council Binding Regulation No. 91 of December 13, 2013 "On the Provision of Tourist Guide Services in the City of Riga".
