The final and possibly decisive UEFA Nations League C match will be played on the eve of the national holiday, when the Latvian national team will face Armenia at Skonto Stadium. This will be the last match of 2024 for the Latvian national team.
In the first round meeting in Yerevan in early September, the hosts prevailed 4-1. On the evening of 17 November, it is expected to be critical for both teams to get maximum points, so fans can expect a principled and uncompromising match.
The two teams also met in the European Championship qualifying tournament last year, both times with the hosts winning 2-0 in Riga and 2-1 in Yerevan.
Latvia qualified for UEFA Nations League C in the last round, beating Moldova, Andorra and Liechtenstein in League D. Meanwhile, Armenia lost their place in League B in the previous cycle, finishing last in their sub-group behind Scotland, Ukraine and Ireland.
